

King and Amy O’Malley Scholarships 2021
The King and Amy O’Malley scholarships were presented at the 2021 World Home Economics Day function. Undergraduate scholarships go to Hannah Baverstock, Beth Robertson and Courteney Elliott and a Postgraduate award to Jennifer Gallanagh. COVID 19 restrictions caused the postponement of an award ceremony last year so it was a pleasure to be able to have Kayley Fisher and Lisa DeFrank in attendance to also receive their award. Marilyn Yates Prize 2021
HEIAWA congratulates Michelle Penstone, who was awarded the 2020 Marilyn Yates’ Prize for academic excellence. The prize was presented to Michelle by Marilyn at the Edith Cowan University Prize giving ceremony, which was held at the Mount Lawley campus on Saturday 27th February, 2021. Michelle graduated in 2020 with an outstanding course average of 79.80 and has been appointed to a full-time position at Kinross College.


HEIA National Service Awards
Congratulations are extended to Noelene Matthews and Barbara Woulfe recipients of a National Home Economics Service award.
